What is the Hitch?
In the 17 years the Hitch has been running, over 4,440 people have
successfully thumbed lifts across Europe. The Hitch takes place during the
Easter period, with the average journey to Morocco around 6 days.
In 2003 LCD decided to offer an alternative and
equally exciting destination; Prague. At 800 miles, the Prague Hitch is a
shorter journey than the Morocco Hitch, ideal for those with a limited time in
which to complete the Hitch, but who still want to participate during their
Easter holiday.
With a minimum fundraising target of £350, not only will you take
part in one of the biggest challenges around, but you can do so in the
knowledge that you are helping to provide a better education for many less
fortunate than themselves.
The dates for Hitch '09 are 10th March- 30th April!!
All Hitchers must have finished hitch hiking by 30th April but can return to the UK at their leisure.
Registration for 2009 is now closed.
