LCD Conference:
Uganda - UK: Partnerships in Practice

LCD brought together members of staff from the more than 25 schools in England and Wales currently linked to schools in Uganda, Uganda Global Teachers and representatives from a variety of other educational and cultural organisations.
On the day, participants heard from a number of specialist speakers about the Ugandan education system and the work which LCD is carrying out in Uganda. Participants also had the opportunity to take part in workshops covering a range of issues with the aim of supporting and enriching a link.
Sessions included:
- In-depth focus on the Link Community Development in Uganda
- Planning and carrying out reciprocal visits
- Embedding the global dimension into the curriculum with reference to the Every Child Matters agenda
- Ideas and resources for your partnership
