| Action for Southern Africa |
Action for Southern Africa (ACTSA) campaigns with the people of
Southern Africa as they strive to build a better future. Working for peace,
democracy and development across the region, ACTSA is the successor
organisation to the Anti-Apartheid Movement. |
| The Golden Tapestry |
The Golden Tapestry is a project for up to 1,800 primary and special
schools across the whole Commonwealth, and aims to help foster understanding
and friendship among different communities and between all peoples in the
world. Schools in different countries are encouraged to work in pairs,
comparing notes and having their canvases displayed next to each other in
exhibitions. |
| People and Planet |
People & Planet supports sixth form students to campaign on issues of
poverty, human rights and the environment. They are working in partnership
with Oxfam to offer schools interactive workshops on Fairtrade, global
issues resources and national events. They can also provide full support
for sixth formers to form People & Planet Action Groups in their school.

The DFID Global School Partnerships programme provide advice, guidance,
professional development opportunities and grants to schools that are
using school partnerships as a means for developing a global dimension
within their curriculum. |
